Making an Entrance

Inspired by an artist on Instagram to paint this gateway I pass on a morning jog. Oil on slim box canvas 23x 30 cms £220

Racing Heart

How I felt painting this. It was exciting to get the drama and movement. Acrylic and charcoal on board, currently unframed. £300

Light Catcher

My first plein air painting of the year. Oil on slim box canvas 40 x 40cms £ 220

Simply Boats

A challenge to paint this as simply as possible, few colours, few brush strokes- all it needed to convey the scene. Acrylic on board unframed 40 x 40 cms £175

Kitchen Solstice

For a few minutes at the solstice the light reached a dark corner of my kitchen , I loved the reflections on my hob. This was a real challenge to capture as the light went within 10 minutes and did not reach this area after a few days. Oil on slim box canvas 40 x 50 cms £200

Heavy Steam

Deliberately smudgy with the smoky steam from the old engine. Oil on box canvas, 40 40 cms, £185

Nottingham

Heading toward Christmas in the city centre. From inside a pub. Oil on slim box canvas 40 x 50 cms £175

the-day-out

Shadows and figures just catching the sunlight made this irresistible to me. Oil on box canvas 40 x 40 cms £200

Getting There

I gave this painting the title because that's how I felt about my painting career. This is what I am aiming for, some drama, intriguing colour use, lots of different marks, blended and sharp edges. Oil on Canvas. 50 x 50cms £300

Dazzling Dew

Such a bright morning, I could hardly look at it. Oil on slim box canvas 40 x 40 cms, £175
