Only a small part of this painting visible on this blog. These beautiful flowers are a small part of my leaving present after 40 years of nursing.
I am so lucky to live in a place that is surrounded by natural beauty.
This field beckoned from beside our home.
I love the scattered parcels of light, different shapes and sizes of light caught by the water or between branches.
The first plain air painting of the year.
A clever bouquet sent without water in the post, thank you the Tan family.
The flowers opened beautifully in water, but the shade changed from red to parchment over the days, gorgeous at every stage.
I did a quick pastel to catch a little of their beauty before it was too late.
An enjoyable day a while back with acrylics and Stephen Foster
Such a lovely way to spend an hour or two , stood under a parasol in the orchard with birds singing, bees buzzing- peace
